There are two ways.
#1 is an idea in which you shall have a 'Virtual home page" and a redirect. So, when you want, you shall bring the blog back to normal position just by removing the "redirect" and hiding the page. But, the difficulty here is that your home page's link will be shown as http://yourblog.blogspot.com/p/home-page.html rather than http://yourblog.blogspot.com/ but still you shall give people the URL htttp://yourblog.blogspot.com/ and it will redirect to http://yourblog.blogspot.com/p/home-page.html

#2 is another idea in which you shall have the real home page with "0" posts and can have posts categorized to appear in other pages.
